Error codes for Hitachi air conditioners

If the Timer indicator flashes once every second, this indicates that the equipment has warmed up before starting and is not an error.

If the Timer indicator flashes several times and then stops, refer to the list below.

• 01 The temperature of the inner coil is too high for cooling, or too low for heating mode. Failure of the reversing valve from work.
• 02 Forced start of the external module. Not a mistake.
• 03 Connection error. Communication defect between indoor unit, outdoor unit, or central board.
• 04 Failure of the external module.
• 06 Float switch activated. Check the operation of the pump and drainage system.
• 07 Start the condensate pump manually. The drainage system has switched to test mode, a central board error.
• 08 Blinds do not open. Defective shutter mechanism, microswitch, or center board (RAF models only).
• 09 Thermistor defect in the indoor unit. No connection to air inlet or thermistor; open center board or short circuit in it.
• 10 Abnormal rotational speed of the fan motor. Defective motor or center board.
• 13 Data error in read only memory. Central Board defect.

• 1 - Normal startup mode
• 2 - together with indicator 302 - Stop the compressor. Power module system or center board error.
• 3 - Low compressor rotation speed, abnormal position of the compressor mechanism. Failure in the energy module system, in the compressor system or in the central board.
• 4 - Compressor failure. Failure in the energy module system, in the compressor system or in the central board.
• 5 - The compressor rotates at a low speed. High pressure detected, fan motor breakdown / short circuit, or abnormal low voltage in the mains.
• 6 - Increase the temperature of the thermistor. Low charge of refrigerant, breakdown or defect of thermistor / compressor, fan motor / central board.
• 8 - The compressor does not accelerate above the minimum speed. Low refrigerant charge or compressor failure.
• 9 - Connection error. The C / D inputs, breakage, or defect of the incoming connecting cable are not connected (Summit and Monozone models only).
• 10 - Abnormal mains voltage. Power outages or a defect in the generator.
• 12 - Abnormal rotation of the fan motor. Defective fan motor or central circuit board (check fuse).
• 13 - Read-Only Memory Error. Damage to the central board.
• 14 - The system power module detected an excess of the mains voltage. System power module defect.

• 1 - The compressor has overheated.
• 2 - Icing of the thermistor.
• 3 - The thermistor was affected by external conditions.
• 4 - Narrow thermistor tube (expansion), for electrical circuit No. 1.
• 5 - Wide thermistor tube (suction), for electrical circuit No. 1.
• 6 - Narrow thermistor tube (expansion), for electrical circuit No. 2.
• 7 - Wide thermistor tube (suction), for electrical circuit No. 2.
• 8 - Narrow thermistor tube (expansion), for electrical circuit No. 3.
• 9 - Wide thermistor tube (suction), for electrical circuit No. 3.
